Mr. Cottom is beginning his 33rd year teaching Theatre and serving as Technical Director at Tomball High School. His previous four years were at Klein Forest High School. Mr. Cottom holds a Bachelor of Arts in Teaching from Sam Houston State University with a Major in Theatre. He has obtained numerous Graduate hours in Gifted and Talented Education and in Theatre. He also taught and served as talent coordinator for the Texas Governor’s Program for Gifted and Talented students for six summers. His awards include the Theatre Alumni of the Year Award from the Sam Houston State University Theatre Department, Walmart Teacher of the Year, the Alma Slawinski Thespian Leadership Award, the Texas Thespians Hall of Fame Theatre Director Award, and the Tomball ISD A+ Teacher of the Year Award.

Makenna Vincent is a graduate of Sam Houston State University with a bachelor’s degree in education and a concentration in theatre. During her time at SHSU, she stage managed and served as a production dramaturg for multiple productions, gaining experience both onstage and behind the scenes. She was also actively involved in campus leadership as the founding president of the Ensemble of Education and held several executive roles within Sigma Sigma Sigma. Ms. Vincent has a strong foundation in theatre production, collaboration, and performance techniques, along with a passion for creating inclusive and engaging learning environments. She is committed to inspiring students through the arts and expanding access to theatre education for all.
